The DA Diaries: Wairarapa

Leading into the upcoming 2024/25 Hawke Cup season, we're starting a new segment, speaking with leading figures (generally coach or captain) from each District Association.

Taking guard this week is Wairarapa Cricket's Mark Childs. An all-round sportsman, Childs represented Wairarapa as both a cricketer and rugby player, and has coached in both sports since his playing retirement. He walks us through the state of play in his province - how things went last summer, how they're preparing for the season ahead, and how he sees his team sitting.
