About The Hawke Cup Report

What is The Hawke Cup Report?

A website and some social media pages built with the intention of being a home for Hawke Cup and DA cricket. It complements an ongoing, slow-burn project to put together a book on the history of the cup. This is a place for people to stay caught up on current Hawke Cup events, and also to reflect and reminisce on some history.

What pages are on this website?

The big one is the Blog page. While a lot of this is cross-posted from our social media platforms, the blog allows us to go deeper and dive into topics at length. We have a page for Hawke Cup cricketers to track down old friends (or foes). Then there’s also the Archive, which is a work in progress…

What will the Archive be?

This is touched on the Archive page, but the idea is to host all DA scorecards, records and statistics for all games ever played by any association. It will require a lot of time, and unfortunately probably a lot of money.

Who runs The Hawke Cup Report?

This is largely a one-man-band project. However I have had huge support and help from others that makes me feel like I have a big team behind me. All those who have supported the project in so many ways so far are constantly appreciated!

Why will the Archive cost money?

This is covered best on the Support The Report page, but we have costs from site and domain hosting to the software required to make the Archive a reality. The aim will always be to keep the scorecards, records and history published on this site free and available for everyone.
