DAY 1 WRAP UP

A few snaps attached from a tightly contested Day 1. Despite both teams having their moments, neither was clearly on top by stumps.

Jayden Lennox bowled a tremendous spell which put the pressure on Canterbury Country, however the efforts of Rhys Mariu at the top, followed by gritty knocks from Jesse Frew and Brayden Hill kept the contest going.

Canterbury Country are 250/7 for stumps, Hill on 51* and Sam Chamberlain 21*. Lennox has taken 3-67.

Hawke's Bay probably have their noses narrowly ahead, but will need to wrap up the visitors quickly on Day 2 if they don't want that advantage to slip.
